Date: October 16, 2007 04:23AM It helps some autistic kids but not all. Usually they are not only gluten free, but casein free as well. Some say it is due to the opioid by products the gluten and casein create. Some say it is because when you reduce the digestive load, then you enable the body to detox the heavy metals. Date: October 16, 2007 07:22PM Oh, but there is "no evidence" that it is so. The doctors want to cache mothers, who know their children better than anyone in this world, and see their childrens lives change miraculously, on a gluten/casein free diet.
They need to torture rats & animals first, to see if this is true. Profit from it, in essense, then make themselves appear to be the wise asses, when really, the mothers were the pioneers. Another infamous fancy footwork of the modern medical clan, to make it look like it was their master minds. There's not a blip of integrity on the radar for most of the modern medical clan.
