Date: October 28, 2007 03:07PM My Endocrinoligist wants to do a test where they inject me with radioactive iodine. It doesn't sound too good but I wondered if anyone knew exactly how dangerous this is. Is it equivelant to an x-ray for example...
Many thanks... Re: radioactive injection

Date: October 31, 2007 02:37PM Wow they inject them now? sounds even more scary. I had to swallow "pills". I don't have any websites but basically yeah, it's as bad as it sounds. Did he even tell you WHY or WHAT the test is for? If you're going to take kelp to "protect" from radioactivity then it's probably going to mess up his test anyway..usually they tell you to do a low iodine diet with it.
Basically, you need natural iodine for your thyroid that you can get from kelp, sea salt, seaweed, etc. So when it's radioactive it kills your thyroid along with other healthy tissue. There's a link to breast cancer somewhere too.Ask this question on Curezone.com and someone will give you all the bad info. Re: radioactive injection

Date: November 02, 2007 01:14PM this is true....taking iodine (kelp etc) before this test will cloud the results. i don't think i will go ahead with the test, since I am in doubt.
