What are some fruits and veggies with fiber? I think I might need to add a little more fiber. Having a tiny bit of trouble going to the bathroom. Ha.

Psyllium husks. Add them to a smoothy, juice or just water. I normally take a teaspoon in my smoothy in the morning.

most garden vegitables are high in fiber, and water.
both of which are good for you.
Brocoli is very high in fiber and is the best
at fighting cancer and desiese.
really good antioxidents and stoppers of
those nasty free radicals.
don't use a laxitive or stool softener.
those could dehydrate you

For a great resource, go here to Nutritiondata.com:

Here, you can search for foods highest in "dietary fiber" and you can search by group (i.e. vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc. whatever category you want).

It will return lists to you ranked by most dietary fiber to least in whatever category you've picked. It's easy to use, fast, and will answer all your questions!

Have a great day!

What are the top best fruits to start off the morning with? I'd think oranges.

any citrus fruits will give you a good start of energy in the morning. I usually go with oranges, kiwi, grapes and an apple for breakfast.

We should limit the quantity of fruit because of their acidity. You can also consider selecting fruit that are less acid. Here is a site on that issue

Nothing is bad in itself, it is the quantity. Eating one orange in the morning is ok but juicing three or more oranges is not good for you. You need to keep the balance of acidic alkline ratio in check. We have the tendency to eat too much fruit with the consequence of making our body more acidic. Fruit are very appealing but the danger of eating too much is there. I limit my quantity of fruit and even when I eat fruit, I stay away from acidic fruit.

it is my understanding that the acid in oranges and citrus
fruit is citric acid "vitamin C" and the human body can
easily expell the vitamin c through the urine
the only side affect of too many oranges is orange pee
things that cause acidic ph are cooked foods and toxins
not fruit. it is true that you should eat a variety
of fruit but most of them have vitamin c like straw berries
blue berries rasberries mangoes. maybe not so much in
bananas and avacadoes (you should eat those too).
maybe if you are starving your self like rawguy2000
wants to do than your fruit needs change.
but if all you are worried about is body ph you
should include a healthy sevring of greens. that
will even out youre ph. not too acidic or too alkaline, right?
the ph or normal sea water is a healthy and achieveable
goal .

Another thing to consider is the Calcium to Phosphorus ratio of the food eaten. That ratio should be greater than 1. Here is a chart on that.

Just because a fruit is acidic does not mean than the effect on the body will be to make it more acidic. Lemons are a good example, they are acidic but they are alkalising to the body.

There is some debate about oranges, but charts on the internet suggest they are alkalising - see the chart towards the end of this page: [www.naturalhealthschool.com]
My own experince suggests that they do not cause an acidic effect on the body, when I lived in Spain, during the orange season (Dec to May), I would eat upto 10 oranges per day and as always plenty of greens. When I had my pH tested, it was within the correct range.

Most vegetables contain fiber - just go to the store and walk through the produce section picking out things that appeal to you.

If nothing appeals to you then you might have to try some fancy recipes to make raw vegetables seem tastier until your body develops a taste for vegetables on their own.

Bananas are not good for bm's, in my opinion. Too many nuts can hurt, as well as eating dehydrated food.
Try eating juicy fruit in the mornings, and a combination of watery vegatables (celery, tomatoes, cucumber) with fresh greens (spinach, romaine, lambsquarters) and some nuts and/or seeds for lunch and dinner. (It is also helpful to soak the nuts and seeds, especially flax seeds, which should always be soaked.)
Take a glass of lemon water and 2-4 cascara sagrada before bed.
