Date: December 22, 2007 02:53PM my doctor friend does this as part of his homeschooling curriculum. he bought land in costa rica and created a nature reserve that is Covered with fruit trees. here in canada his whole property is covered in trees, he has a horse to "mow" his lawn, he's giving plantable pine trees as gifts this year with care instructions, and he plants his fruit cores and seeds all over the place. he's such an inspirational guy, he's got me urban composting too, especially any sproutable fruit parts. those go where they have a chance of sprouting and growing up. anybody can do that bit, it's super easy.
i have friends in the city who do this with pot seeds (municipal buildings are their favourites), not exactly the same but i like the idea of greening up the big smog with pretty, fragrant weeds. heh. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
