There is a great health message found in the Scriptures. “Torah” is the first five books of the Scriptures. The word “Torah” means instructions, guidelines, or YHWH's (God's) will. Following the guidelines of our Creator can help us achieve the great health and prosperity. It is my prayer that each of us will be led to read and study YHWH’s great health book. This study shows how important his instructions for us really are.

This Week's Health Message From the Scriptures is from Exodus 1:1 – 6:1

It is better to trust in YHWH than to put confidence in man.
-Psalms 118:8

In this week’s study, we see the story of Moses and the Exodus of the believers of YHWH out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.

It always makes me wonder why a doctor gives instructions about how to take a medicine, and people will follow those instructions exactly, even if it is not convenient for them. A doctor could tell a patient to get up in the middle of the night to take a medicine and they will set their alarm to make sure they wake-up. If the doctor says to take your medicine with food, even if not hungry, a person will eat to make sure they follow the directions.

Why do we listen so closely to a doctor’s instructions and obey them, but show no interest or obedience to YHWH’s instructions?

Moses proved long before his encounter with YHWH that he was a disciplined person, working many years as a foreigner in a foreign land. He left his home in Egypt, which was a palace, and adjusted to his new life in a desert. but when YHWH asked him to help rescue the people of Israel, Moses didn’t want to do the task. He had fear and was worried about how everyone would respond to his request. Moses reminds me of so many people I meet today who do not want to listen to YHWH’s guidance, but finally come around and align themselves with His instructions. The problem is some people wait so long that by the time they come around, much damage in their life and in their health has been created. They use YHWH as a last resort. We should go to YHWH as a first resort if we want to save wasted energy and pain.

We must not let what the world thinks of us keep us from being obedient to YHWH’s instructions for our life. This fear, and a lack of faith, keeps people away from receiving YHWH’s blessings of healing. There is very little faith unless a person feels or sees YHWH’s healing touch. This message is about not waiting for proof. Take YHWH’s word as the truth and act on faith!

Moses was filled with fear. Even after seeing YHWH’s power, he still pleaded with YHWH not to send him. We need to trust YHWH if we want to have healing and joy in our life!

Then YHWH said to Moses, “Now put your hand inside your cloak”. So Moses put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out again, his hand was as snow with a severe skin disease. “Now put your hand back into your cloak,” YHWH said. So Moses put his hand back in, and when he took it out again, it was as healthy as the rest of his body.
Exodus 4:6-7

During Moses lifetime, leprosy was a severe skin disease. There was no cure, and a great deal of suffering preceded eventual death. This scripture reveals to us that YHWH has the power to cure and also heal any type of disease. It is just another example of the awesome power of YHWH.

We see many scriptures where YHWH healed the sick, here are just a few,

YHWH HEALS
-Genesis 20:17 And Abraham prayed to YHWH, and YHWH healed…
-Exodus 15:26 I am YHWH who heals you.
-Psalm 103:3… Who forgives your crookedness, who heals all your diseases.

So, YHWH can heal all your disease! Not just some but all. Do you know who YHWH’s doctor is to do the healing? It’s Yeshua!

We are told the reason we suffer and the way to be healed in Psalms 107:17-20:

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their being despises all manner of food; and they draw near to the gates of death. Then they cry to YHWH in their trouble; and He saves them out of their distresses. He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

We are also shown the healing power of Yeshua in Matthew 9:35

Yeshua was going around all the cities and the villages teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom and healing every disease and every sickness.

YHWH Yeshua

Saves -- From Sin Teaches -- Knowledge that will save us
Heals -- From Sickness Preachers -- The good news to heal us
Delivers -- From Satan Heals -- He is the savior of all that call to Him

When YHWH gives us instructions and commands us to do something, we must take joy knowing He will work out the situation. YHWH does not ask us to go where he has not provided the means to help. Go where he leads, trusting him to supply courage, confidence and resources at the right moment.

Don’t let the fear of what might happen cause you to miss an opportunity. Walk through all the doors YHWH opens for you. Even though we may doubt and worry when told to do something that seems impossible. We should look at the many great stories in the Scriptures where ordinary people were used in an amazing way.

Today, when people develop a health challenge it sometimes seems impossible that there is any hope. A medical doctor may even confirm that thought. It’s times like these we either become weaker or stronger from our experience. We need to remember YHWH wants us to overcome any health challenge we have, and with His help we can. But we have to follow his instructions.

Just as YHWH told Moses, I tell you, “The Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, YHWH is here to help you!”
