Raw caramel and bananas....OMG......

Date: January 08, 2008 05:22AM I just found this recipe on GoneRaw.com, and had to post it for you all....caramel is my favorite sweet, and I cannot believe I can make a raw version of it!! I'm going to make this tommorrow and have it with banana and apple slices for a treat!
4 tablespoons tahini 3 tablespoons maple (maple best for real carmel taste) 4 medjool dates 1 teaspoon Celtic sea salt dash vanilla, OPTIONAL tart green apples, sliced for dipping Preparation These measurements are approximate. Adjust for your own sweet-salty-tart-tooth. Process till dates are fully blended in (it’s nice to soak dried dates in lemon-water for an hour before mixing in). I like a little more salt – like 1 1/4 tsp…that really goes awesome with the sweetness, Re: Raw caramel and bananas....OMG......

Date: January 10, 2008 03:44AM I make my own caramel sauce: I take some dates, add some water, and blend to desired consistency! It really does remind me of caramel sauce. Then I pour it over frozen banana-through-the-Champion ice cream. YUM!
