Date: January 17, 2008 03:42PM Yes, nice site!
I would like to argue with you about the "forget organics" part though. Eating organic is the only way this planet will ever be able to have SUSTAINABLE agriculture. Foods grown with the chemicals and pesticides leave behind sterile, dead dust and foods grown organically make for living and healthy soils. Now I know you were writing to those who have to eat on a budget but even so I feel this is important to eat mostly organic. I am on a terribly tight budget myself but I would rather eat less than eat non-organic 9 times out of 10. Sure, if I end up in a place (which I have been in places like that) where there ARE no organics or I CANNOT purchase organics I know the pesticide-filled veggies will keep me alive but it is very last-ditch for me... Date: January 20, 2008 02:25AM you know what would be cool? a raw/vegan superhero.
i was watching jlu the other day, and was kind of upset by the fact that wonder woman was eating these raviolie thingies. I'm not sure but i think she is supposed to be some sort of animal rights activist or something? i recall an ep of wonder woman with linda carter where she saves a gorilla and brings it back to africa. superman became vegetarian in the 2000's, however, superman does not even need to eat. He is actually breatharian i guess because he gets all of his nutrients from the sun. the only reason he eats is because he does it so people are under the impression he is not really an alien. when he DOES eat, he is veggie. i'd like to think that all of the supers (superman, supergirl, power girl, power boy, wonder boy... the kryptonians) are raw vegan. they are so advanced, and it is well known they get their energy from the sun. it only makes sense they are raw vegan. there is that one girl who pretends she is a super hero i think. she's like a model and dancer or something. i think she is blonde and has nappy locks. don't remember her name.... comics are cool. i'm a big fan. i could only find that one. didn't see any other comics on your site. Maybe you're thinking of Tonya Kay? We've got her superhero cartoon series starting in the next issue of Funky Raw magazine...
