I'm an avid cyclist and would use that bicycle washing machine all the time, especially in the winter months (can't ride when there's 3 feet of snow on the roads *boo-hoo*).

Date: January 28, 2008 03:34AM Just got back from an amazing camping trip on the rain-forest side of Maui. Very fun watching my friends scramble around trying to cook all their meals, while I just crack open another coconut and eat some bananas...
Anyway, we stopped at a great organic farm... When you order a salad they just step outside the farm stand and cut the greens right there...so delicious. They also offer fresh smoothies, but if you order one, you have to provide the power to the blender...SO COOL! As soon as I saw it I thought of this thread and had to get a picture. It took about 30 seconds of brisk pedaling to blend... don't know if it would power my vita-mix.  Re: can YOUR bike blend a green smoothie?

Date: January 28, 2008 03:48AM omg, so COOL! we had a bike at the sprouty place that powered the wheatgrass juicer. one of the dudes would hop on up and squeeze you some adrian powered green drink now and then. it was a hit at trade and health shows.

It would power your Vita-Mix just as well as electricity, if you get two horses to pedal the bike. The Vita-Mix is a two-horsepower blender! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
