Date: March 15, 2008 08:51PM I had shiitake mushrooms for the first time 2 days ago and now I can't stop eating them. I love the texture and the taste.
I wonder if I'm lacking vitamin D. I've also read that they might contain B12 or it might just be the soil that is on them. Anyways, they are doing the trick! david Re: shiitake

Date: March 15, 2008 09:04PM I make a cold soup almost everyday by putting 1 large vine ripened tomato into the VM along with 2 or more Shitake mushrooms and blend with a little ice. Its a simple easy to make soup and tastes great. Here's a link to some info about the Shitake mushroom:
