Date: March 20, 2008 09:03PM Hey there,
So I have a Q'n about seeds. I soak them, rinse them, then let them sprout, right? Can someone please clarify if I have this right. And does same go for nuts? I guess I'm confused about the whole sprouting part? Thanks, take care everyone X Re: Seeds and soaking, Q'n?

-Of course the only way to tell if a nut or seed is truly raw/viable is to sprout it into a small plant. About the only things I have ever seen do this are small seeds like sunflower, radish, etc.....or small legumes like Mung Beans. Any other nut, you will just have to buy from the freshest sources you know...and accept that. -In any event, you simply soak your seeds about 8-12 hours (or less for very small seeds) and then just keep rinsing them 3 times a day at least....and keeping them covered with a cloth in a cool area until they sprout...usually within 3 days. If a seed (not a nut) doesn't form a small plant after 3 days...it probably aint ever gonna...heh..heh. -David Z. Mason WWW.RawFoodFarm.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
