dried fruit and digestion

How long does it take for dried fruit to leave the stomach? I would imagine that it is longer than fresh fruit.

I am finding that I am much more sensitive to what foods I eat, and when, now. It's funny - when I look back I ate whatever I liked, whenever I liked and didn't notice anything. I can't beleive how out of touch with my own body I was.

It would vary from individual to individual. At a minimum...30 minutes.....but far more likely given that it is dehydrated (and probably contains fiber).....1-2 hours. Just my speculation/experience.

Fresh is best, but I use Dried Fruit (Hunza Apricots and Turkish Figs) in my Fruit Smoothies. Exit time is probably more rapid than eating Fresh because a smoothie is Homogenized.....WY
