growing acai at home

Date: May 21, 2008 04:21PM I want to drink acai juice for the health benefits but I heard the frozen imported stuff was not as potent as fresh so I bought some very pretty Acai Palms. Does anyone have any experience growing them? They are in my greenhouse and I have a solar water heating system. They seem to be doing well. But I could use some advice.
Also thinking about selling my fresh berries. Has anyone else bought from this company? [www.acaifarms.com] That is their website. They claim you can grow these palms anywhere, not just in Brazil. I am looking for recipes too. Re: growing acai at home

Date: May 24, 2008 11:23AM Great link!! As for growing conditions, shouldn't you ask theM? They are growing them after all. Ask them how the acai would fare in your climate, giving them examples of the extremes (cold, hot and dry/wet). Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
