Date: July 05, 2008 12:09PM i'm reading that high doses of vitamin c can deplete copper, which effects thyroid, immunity etc.
i would like to get a mineral test. has anyone had one? Re: vitamin C

Date: July 05, 2008 04:38PM From the list it looks like plenty of foods have vitamin C so why would a raw food eater feel it necessary to supplement vitamin C ? Re: vitamin C

Date: July 05, 2008 08:56PM Mangos have a good amount of copper and Vit C and I eat at least a half a ton of mangos every year for the last 35 years and the previos 17 years maybe a quarter of a ton.
I dont worry about depleted copper or anything else the main thing I try to do is eat a good amount of food to fill my stomach. Cherimoya, Love Peace and Happiness, Re: vitamin C

Date: July 07, 2008 05:32PM For people eating lots of fruit and veggies in their raw state, getting enough Vitamin C is not a problem. I wouldn't worry about finding super foods, as all fresh fruits and vegetables are super foods. Re: vitamin C

Date: July 07, 2008 06:56PM I agree with Bryan. Vit C is not hard to get if you are eating lots of fresh produce. When I occasionally enter my food for the day on fitday, I am always well over the recommended amount for C. My website: The Coconut Chronicles Re: vitamin C
