Date: September 13, 2008 04:46PM Hello, David.
I anted to ask you about your sex drive, if i can. I am having problems when i stick to a fruit and low fat raw diet and my sex drive is so low when i eat this way. So i have thought about upping my fat intake, and the other week i was eating a lot of coconut and some avocado, and it didn't seam to help much, and to be honest the blood flow wasn't very good and erections were not to good. (sorry about that) Im asking you personaly because i have read alot of your posts and i know you eat a lot of avocado's every day, so how are things for you ? Maybe i didnt stick to the high fat raw diet for long enough or maybe it was the saturated fat in the coconuts that caused me problems, I do know the fruitarian lifestyle is not doing me very well when it comes to sex. Any advice from 'anyone' or feedback would be great. Thanks, Paulie. Re: David Z. Mason - sex drive

Date: September 13, 2008 04:57PM It's official: David Z. Mason is now a rock star.
But seriously... Could be diet or detox or a need for regular exercise or a need to look within (a need to meditate), or maybe job or relationship or family stress... I hope things improve -- whatever improvement looks like for YOU. Thank you for taking a risk and posting that. Other people may have experienced the same thing and may have some thoughts as to how to address the issue or how to put it in perspective. Re: David Z. Mason - sex drive

Date: September 13, 2008 08:04PM Ha! ha! It's a legitimate question....as diet certainly does have an immediate AND an overall effect. The thing is, you can't draw too many conclusions while transitioning. If living at the level you want for 6 months....and THEN taking a snapshot....then a person gets a good view.
In my own case, my sex drive has always been plenty high....for me...heh...heh. So no biggie. My desire for sex tended to be more....compulsory and needy when I was sort of stimulated by my diet. Now, it is a much more voluntary and conscious process. In any event, the idea that I felt the NEED or 'drive' to have sex more often......it would not be bad if I didn't feel that NEED...but could CHOOSE to engage in that behavior instead. Philosophically...heh..heh....it's the whole idea of feeling COMPELLED to do something...vs. joyously choosing it...you know? -So: A high fruit diet is very cleansing and some folks are not ready for that level of cleansing....and some very CLEAN folks don't need it. It's all good. A higher fat fruit lifestyle (like with a lot of avocados or nuts or coconut...MIGHT be more stimulating for some. I suppose that is certainly possible. -I don't know if this answers any of your questions! Ha! ha! In any event, while I still ate a lot of that stuff, garlic, spices and onions tended to stimulate me....in...ummm...that manner! -Personal rant: the whole point of any diet (or CAN be) is to express more consciousness. This means making choices and DOING something small...and taking responsibility. I wrote a short essay on it on my site for any that are interested: [www.rawfoodfarm.com] -David Z. Date: September 13, 2008 08:17PM Ok thanks David.
I thought maybe the higher fat (avocados) might increase testosterone, and also sex drive, with hopefully good erections. (cough, cough). Ill guess ill just give it a go for a week ,see what happens. Thanks, Paulie. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
