Date: October 02, 2008 07:37PM I have some durian flesh in the freezer (seeds still inside) that I want to eat, but don't know what to do with it
Anyone know the best way to defrost it, and how long it takes? Re: Defrosting frozen durian?

Date: October 02, 2008 08:08PM I brought home a whole durian fruit a few weeks ago just to give it a shot. It was frozen. It is a very large fruit. We set it on the back patio for about 4 hours to thaw. I really liked the flavor. But the smell is pretty bad. Have you ever had it before? Re: Defrosting frozen durian?

Date: October 02, 2008 08:10PM Hi rgh69! Yeah, I thought it was interesting tasting, sometimes nice, sometimes not so nice! I don't mind the smell... my cats were fascinated by it!
Thanks for the info Re: Defrosting frozen durian?

Date: October 02, 2008 08:26PM If its a whole durian still in the shell, I leave it outside the fridge for 24 hours and then eat it. However, if its been shelled, it won't take as long to defrost. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
