dehydrator question

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this question to.
I just received an excalibur dehydrator form my sister-in-law. She's had it for a few years and only used it a few times, and since i started to eat mostly raw, she decided to gift it to me.
I used it 4 times, and was very pleased with the results, but this morning I went to dehydrate something and the heating element doesn't seem to be working. The fan blows, but no heat.
Unfortunately, my sister-in-law couldn't find the instructions or guarantee, and so i don't have a reference to check if this is a common problem and how to fix it.
Would anyone have any experience or advice?
Thanks in advance for any help smiling smiley

Did you let it run for a while?
I have one and it feels like there is no heat...till its on for a few minutes.

Yes, thanks Brian, I did let it run for a while.
I'm phoning excalibur today to see if they have any ideas. I think the heating element is blown, or faulty wiring.
