Date: December 23, 2008 11:12PM Greetings all,
I have been on an unintentional fast for the past week because I have fallen in love, and have had no appetite, this was all okay, I had never been able to do a fast before so this was actually cool. I did have water, grapefriut juice some lemon water during that time. Then in the tail end up this I got the flu, the real flu. Not detox, which I did have some symptoms of during the fast. So now I am sick, and started out dry heaving, so I drank water, so I could puke, and that feels good, but I can't seem to keep anything down. I feel my body desperately in need of some nutrients, so I had some coconut water just 30 minutes ago, and that promptly came up. I want to be able to stand up and not get dizzy and reintroduce food slowly into my body but I am lost, I thought coconut water would be the best choice but now I feel like my judgement is scewed because of this virus. Watermelon sounds like an ok choice but again I am weary. Any advice would be helpfull, thanks for reading, hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! Re: best foods after fast & flu?

Date: December 24, 2008 03:01AM Its better to listen to your body. If your body is saying it doesn't want to it eat - and the way you know this is it doesn't cooperate with you when you do eat - then don't eat. Just drink water.
When your appetite comes back and your body decides it wants to allow you to eat, try eating some juicy fruit. I like citrus to end a fast, but for some people this doesn't work. Other people like apples or pears. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
