What can I do for a cold?

Hi. I think I am coming down with a cold. Is there any advice (other than sleep and an increase of water) on how to help get rid of it? I used to eat chicken soup before, but obviously, I'd like to steer clear of that. Is there anything other than medicine I can take to relieve the pain? Thank you!

A "cold" is simply a symptom of detoxification. It is a GOOD thing, despite the temporary discomfort.

To accelerate the healing, the two things you mentioned (sleep and increase in water) are good. Very light eating in general will also help.

You are getting rid of the baddies inside you. Congratulations!

Garlic and orange or grapefruit juice may help

I agree with Omega, light eating or better yet, no eating until you feel great. Just drink water when you are thirsty.

Juice, fruit and a good night's sleep.

Omega, Bryan and the above posts are certainly correct. As they say in a certain book, the angels of air, water, sun and walking the earth will surely heal you. Adding any other content will not.

My opinion:

If you are in an acute crisis of pain...then do whatever you need to do to get out of it...and don't worry about it. If you are simply in discomfort or annoyed, then find something uplifting to do or participate in....and simply accept your illness as a learning experience to share with others...until it passes.

-An attitude of acceptance and compassion heals the central disease that manifests disease: the over-lording, repetitive tyranny of a mind that condemns.

Drink distilled water with squeezed or juiced lemon, that will cut the mucus and alkalize the body more.

You can also parasite zap to heal quicker. You can take colloidal silver, too.

If you are very congested, drink a tea made out of 1/4 teaspoon of Fenugreek seeds throughout the day.

Lots of rest helps heal the body, too.

Getting rid of the mucus is one step closer to a healthy, alkaline body.

Good luck.

Do nothing. Literally. Rest, to give your body the max chance of detoxifying. Fast.
