Does anyone know what I can do with this veggie? I don't really love the taste of it alone, but would probably like it in a salad or something. Any ideas?

Is there something not so appealing about fennel? No one eats it??

We grew it this year, and it looks beautiful in the yard, but I don't really like it except in tea with other herbs.

fennel and mango is pretty good together
you can chop it up and make a salad, perhaps with apples; i'm pretty sure that's another combo worth doing..with some sort of dressing and other things thrown in there.

I added it to my salad today and made a dressing with oranges and ginger. It was pretty delicious! Any thoughts on ginger? Do people avoid it much like garlic? Or black pepper? I think that both ginger and fennel are digestive aids. Is that correct? I am trying to see how many questions I can ask in one post...lol.

Ginger is a digestive aid, and it's great for nausea.

A sprinkle of ginger added to smoothies i.e. strawberries, raspberries, etc gives it nice flavor.

I LOVE fresh raw fennel...chopped up in salads, as a salad, or just as is. No accounting for taste I guess is there?

If you don't care for licorice though this one's definitely not for you.
