Date: February 23, 2009 03:41PM I am finding it hard to find raw seaweed. What brands do you like - are some more pleasant than others? I haven't eaten much seaweed before but am finding myself drawn towards it now. It's experiment time - ha ha Re: seaweed question for people living in England

Date: February 23, 2009 04:38PM cant remember brands.. And I have tried dried varieties only.
But there are BIG differeces. Some are so bad thet they are difficult to eat and some are actually good. The cheapest can be bought from those chinese/thai food shops that are everywhere. But it is a good idea to eat seaweed, because it is a good source of iodine. A friend of mine, who is on raw food diet got sick, because he didn't get enough iodine.. With normal diet you get iodine from salt (because iodine is added to salt) Re: seaweed question for people living in England

Date: February 23, 2009 05:23PM I like Sea Vegetables (Dulse, Sea Lettuce, and Kelp)
from the Maine Coast in my Green Smoothies. I'd give them up if I had a source of fresh, organic Collard Greens and Kale.....WY [www.seaveg.com] Re: seaweed question for people living in England

Try The Sea Veg Co. I've used them from time and time - I did enquire as to rawness a while back and it's 'cool-air dried', so reckon it passes the test. Quite like their dulse. [www.seaveg.co.uk] Re: seaweed question for people living in England

Date: February 25, 2009 01:55PM I love nori wraps, wakame, dulse etc, by Clearspring. All these are often available in supermarkets and stores such as Holland And Barrett.
But I REALLY love sea spaghetti, sold (hopefully still) by funky raw. (www.funkyraw.com) xx Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
