Try it and see how you do. I would caution you to start with smaller amounts of these sprouted, and see how you tolerate them, before eating a few cups a day. Also, are you eating enough fruits and nuts? Good luck! Re: Sprouting ChickPeas for calories!!!

Date: March 24, 2009 07:20PM I simply can't eat any sprouts at all but i get loads of calories from fruit - particularly bananas at this time of year. Re: Sprouting ChickPeas for calories!!!

Date: March 24, 2009 07:29PM thanks for the reply, today ( by 4:00pm ) i had
3 banana's handful of kale handful parsley, and cilantro 1 leaf swiss chard 1 tbs grounded flax seed 1 tbs hemp protien 1 tbs sesame seed 1 apple 1 pear handful of each of these ( strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries ) 1 orange 1 kiwi 1 cup sprouted chickpeas 1 cup sprouted mung beans 1 cup sprouted alfalfa 1 avocado 2 sticks of celery 1/4 onion 2 cloves garlic 4 litres water Right now i am at 2124 calories and it's 4:00pm. I am 136 lbs, and 5'11. I have a very high metabolism. I am guessing i need well over 3000 a day. I felt soooo bad yesterday and fatigued. Today i am doing much better with eating what is listed above, then i will eat some pumpkin seed butter and a few cashews tonight, and a big salad for dinner. Im not trying to be a calorie watcher type, that freaks out if i dont get the exact number...i have just been losing to much weight and feeling tired, so i am trying things out...i wanna keep the raw thing going, im trying my best so far. Date: March 25, 2009 05:58AM I've never counted a calorie since going raw. I just eat what I feel like each day and never seem to have a problem.
On my website (www.rawforlife.co.uk), on the 'What is the Raw Food Diet?' page, I list at the bottom a typical day's food for me. That might help, Eddie, if you adjust for your size (I'm 108 lbs). I follow a high-fruit raw diet, which does include raw sprouted grains and pulses. Re: Sprouting ChickPeas for calories!!!
