zinc-copper ratio

Date: March 29, 2009 02:05AM I've read many things about how important it is to keep the ratio of zinc to copper in the diet to around 8 to 1. It seems that any type of vegan diet distorts this ratio because it always very high in copper, which apparently can cause things like chronic fatigue, thinning hair, etc. According to my diet log, I always get at least 8 mg of zinc, but then I'll also be getting 3 or 4 mg of copper. I am concerned because I am experiencing some of these alleged symptoms, which may or may not be due to the possible unbalanced intake of these minerals. Does anyone know more about this? What does your current raw diet look like. What is a typical daily menu for you? Perhaps you are not getting enough calories or perhaps your body just needs to have a lot of rest and sleep. Here's what I did about my chronic fatigue: Re: Adrenal Fatigue: Please share your experiences . Re: zinc-copper ratio

Date: March 29, 2009 02:30AM Well I am not completely raw right now.
On a typical day in the morning, I'll eat about 8 bananas, a few apples, 3 grapefruits/oranges, probably about 6 cups of greens like kale, dandelion or romaine. Then....I eat cooked food for dinner and the rest of the day goes downhill.. Usualy I'll have a huge sweet potato or brown rice or beans with olive oil. Then i usually eat alot of nuts and coconut because I'm really hungry right now. So I know it's not a great diet and it is failing for me, but I think I am getting enough calories. I just feel worried when I look at different ratios in my log. Re: zinc-copper ratio
