Date: May 09, 2009 07:02PM i'm now one month raw and going strong! yay!
i'm still transitioning away from some of my favorite comfort foods, and came upon a recipe for essene bread made from sprouted wheat berries, and falafels with sprouted garbonzos. while most of my diet is just plain and simple fruits and vegetables, i'm liking the variety i can get with some of these recipes i'm finding.... i'm wondering, what do you think about sprouted grains and legumes in general as part of your raw diet? the pros, the cons? ultimately i know i'll discover what works best for me, but right now, i am really curious what you think. thanks. Date: May 09, 2009 09:09PM For a few weeks now I have been sprouting some seeds like alfalfa brocolli and radish, very easy to do, however I basically blend them or add them to my salads. I never got into the gourmet raw food with lots of recipes and things, too lazy I guess.
I also sprout some chick peas and tried to make hummus, it was disgusting and I had to throw them away. I used to love cooked falafels, I guess I will check out a recipe for them raw. Good luck on our journey Re: looking for your opinion about sprouted grains and legumes
