calorie question

Hm, so I have been juice feasting for 45 days. I consumed between 1600 to 2500 calories in juices everyday. Consumed around 50% fruit juices (orange, melon, apple, pear) and 50% greens/veggies (spinach, romaine, kukes, carrots, celery, zucchini, radishes...). The bulk of the calories was probably carrot, orange and apple.

I lost 18 pounds in that time. Usually I eat around the same amount of calories in solid food. Why the weight loss on juice?

Curious!

Thats an interesting question. The only thing I can think of is fats like avocado, nuts, and seeds. Do you eat those when your eating solids ? Or possibly it could be you have more energy on juice so you move more ?

Ez thanks for replying. I didn't work out during juice feast, only some light yoga. Energy level wasn't that great. As for fats, unfortunately I have to make sure I eat about 15 % of calories from seeds/nuts. Mybloodwork showed my fats tone so low I am close to being unable to produce my own hormones. If it were up to me I'd do without overt fats entirely. I never felt truly great on my diet of just fruits and veggies. Last night I ate some nuts first time after the fast and boy that made me feel real lousy, too (heavy feeling this morning). I haven't really found what works for me yet.
