Thanks, Tamukha.

As are so many of my blog articles, borne from my own wrestles with it...

And what am I doing now? Typing while the sun's shining outside.

Must - get - off - computer.

I remember T C Fry very well when I was just starting on my
journey. I even subscribed to his monthly publication. I believe he was,
at first, linked officially with Natural Hygiene, but later 'broke' (or
was released) from the parent organization. He continued to 'preach' his
views about NH, and was a brilliant writer (often too deep for me). He had
a daughter (or wife) named Marti, but no mention was made of her. I often
wonder where she is now.
Thanks Debbie for your very thorough article. It fills a lot of holes for me.....WY

Hi WY

(hate to admit that I'm back on the computer...)

Depends what you mean by 'officially' Natural Hygiene. As I understand it, there's an 'International Natural Hygiene Society' in the US, but it's fine with eating meat - that could be the reason TC parted ways with it. And it's always seemed to me that it's the INHS that's 'out of line' as I don't think Shelton ever advocated meat-eating.

Marti was his wife, and wrote some of the early lessons at least in the 'Life Sciences' course on rawfoodexplained.com. I don't know what she's doing now though either (nothing came up on google when looked a while back), although she's mentioned a few times in Dr Virginia Vetrano's book.

Thank you for another excellent article Debbietook!

We need both truth and compassion in our dicussion and ongoing study of raw food vegan diets, and I believe you struck exactly the right balance in your article. Thank you!

I also appreciate your openness about your own challenges. Now, if you still haven't been outside yet, please go! smiling smiley

(shucks, it's raining here)
