Date: June 04, 2009 02:27PM Start by just enjoying some organic raw and living foods and see what your body tells you. If you take it slowly and pay attention along the way then you are much more likely to be able to create long term change. Have fun with it and try to see it as creating health rather than avoiding anything. Re: im new to all this!!!!

Date: June 07, 2009 04:01PM Hi,
I started with smoothies, mainly banana mixed with berries. Adding a frozen banana makes it creamier. You can also toss in a handful or two of baby spinach. It's really good for you and you don;t tast the spinach. I also eat fruit salads. Melons. I eat salads of course. My favorite is taco salad. The "meat" is walnuts ground in a coffee grinder and then add cumin and a splash of soy sauce or preferably nama shoyu which is a natural soy sauce you get at the health food store. I blend sundried and raw tomatoes with italian seasoning and garlic for a marnina sauce to put over zucchini & carrots. There is a great book you can order on Amazon "Raw foods made easy for 1 or 2 people" by Jennifer Cornbleet. There are some food pictures here of what I eat: www.16weeks2health.blogspot.com Just some thoughts... Date: June 07, 2009 04:10PM Experiment with a variety of recipes. Keep it simple unless you truly enjoy preparing food. Make sure to eat a lot and eat often. For losing weight, I always recommend 5-7 small meals. With raw, at the beginning, it may need to be bigger meals or more often.
