Not sure where to start
Posted by: Anonymous User ()

I have decided I am going to do the raw food diet. I want to transition slowly but don't really know where to start. Maybe taking out dairy and meat? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Amy

Start by increasing the amounts of fresh fruits and salads you eat. Also, look at reducing the animal products in your cooked diet, as well as processed foods.

Reducing or eliminating meat and dairy is a great place to start.

My suggestions for those beginning on their raw food journey:

First, begin by adding raw green smoothies

Then start to cut out the "big 4"
- processed sugar, wheat (gluten), dairy, and meat.

I was able to become raw easily because I was constantly eliminating things from my diet like dairy, red meat, white flour, etc. So by the time I decided to be raw, it was a fairly easy transition.

over the last 6 years i have gone from a predominately high fat fastfood eating 100% raw

start replacing things with better choices and add in things while you take things away smiling smiley

I definately agree with the "Add in" pholosophy. The more raw living food you add in, at your own pace, the less appeal of the other foods you were looking to remove.
