Date: August 14, 2009 04:16AM Assuming you are asking whether or not it is Cyanocobalamin, I would be willing to bet that it is Cyanocobalamin. Why would they spend more on a better form of B12 and then not advertise it as such? Re: This nutritional yeast claims to have B-12 in it.

Date: August 14, 2009 04:26AM I think Red Star is fortified with Cyanocobalamin. I don't think the B12 is naturally occurring. Re: This nutritional yeast claims to have B-12 in it.

Red Star is one of the main commercial baker's yeast brands, so this is almost certainly a manufactured, fortified product. Otherwise, commercial yeast breads wouldn't need to be additionally fortified with B 12, right? Re: This nutritional yeast claims to have B-12 in it.

Date: August 21, 2009 06:57PM Hi everyone! I'm Stephanie, and I live in Houston, Texas. I'm looking for raw food forums, looking for friends as I want to start moving to friends who do likewise. I worked for Feeling Fit For Life in Austin from late '94 to just after the end of '96. I was certified as a natural hygienist through their program in '95.
Anyhow, you may want to take a look at the article on B12 by V Vetrano. [www.rawfoodexplained.com] It talks about the cynaide component of B12 as found in nutritional yeast. Re: This nutritional yeast claims to have B-12 in it.
