are those habanero peppers I espy?" I would go for that, as I like "hot" stuff! I might throw a couple apples in to take the edge off, depending on my mood. Looks like the makings for a great smoothie to open up the sinuses though! Re: PICTURES OF YOUR FOOD

------------------------------------------------------- > wow WY you are brave > are those habanero peppers I espy? Those were sweet mini-Peppers. I have used a few hot-Pepper seeds in the past, and got quite a surprise.... best Cleanse I'd ever had. They burned all the way through. The whole process took less than a minute. My body was in the Elimination Mode......WY Re: PICTURES OF YOUR FOOD

Date: August 02, 2009 02:34AM alright, here's dinner tonight. a pate of sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds with red onion, garlic, carrot, yellow bell pepper, tomato, celery, parsley, lemon, miso, cumin and herbamare (a sea salt seasoning thingy that's really tasty). I had mine in lettuce boats, the boys and baby in mulitgrain wraps with lettuce and a bit of almonaisse (tastes like real mayo!). Dad, the baby and I enjoyed ours but little man hated it, as usual. Sigh.
Shredded carrot, julienned cucumber and diced tomato on top as well as in the pate itself. It's nice when your food is gorgeous to look at too! Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 08/02/2009 02:37AM by coco. Re: PICTURES OF YOUR FOOD

Date: August 02, 2009 12:53PM I'm a mean mom, I make him eat stuff. Nothing that I know he really hates but if it's full of ingredients that he does like, well, he's just being fussy. He ate half a wrap. Either that or he's eating nutbutter and jam sandwiches every night! Re: PICTURES OF YOUR FOOD

Morganjune, I just add a bit of avocado and a lot of greens with my nori rolls. Cilantro is a great herb for rolls. And I personally think that a bit of green onion or chopped garlic and definitely a sprinkle of lemon juice is essential! Re: PICTURES OF YOUR FOOD

Date: August 03, 2009 12:14AM Nice!
ver, the pate is quite moist so it makes the nori very pliable, plus i cut it slowly with a small serated knife and don't try to make the slices too thin. i made soup tonight but it was meh. not my favourite thing to eat so far in my life. i don't quite have the trick of blender soups down yet, there is always something mysteriously bitter happening that i don't like. this one had zucchini, celery, carrots, tomato, green onion, spinach, garlic, lemon, olive oil, miso, pepper, herbamare and avocado. i followed a recipe (ish). then i made carrot cake with cashew cream cheeze icing but again, not really my favourite. the kids and dad liked it though. oh well, better luck tomorrow! Date: August 03, 2009 02:07AM Gosh!! All your food looks so pretty!! Mine's so boring and blah. LOL. Now I've been inspired to "pretty things up" a bit. =) I was gone out of state all week/weekend at a church campmeeting, and my Mom bought me a Raw cookbook and Sprouting book at the book store while down there, so I'm anxious to start experimenting. =) ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... Date: August 03, 2009 02:31AM you know, it's a funny thing but i seem to be moving backwards with this. at first all i ate were salads and smoothies and plain fruit on it's own. now i'm making these crazy fancy dishes and collecting recipes to try them out. weird!
i think it's the challenge of feeding two kids and my papa. they aren't happy with just some carrots as a snack. most people look at you like you're crazy when you offer them something like that. that's what i like best though, plain and simple. food is fuel, a lot of the time i don't even care what it tastes like if you can believe that. it's only when it's "supposed" to be delicious that i am miffed if it's not. strange and kookie. Date: August 04, 2009 12:18AM Are there only three of us that eat on this forum? Come on now, no matter how simple, it all looks so gorgeous in full living colour!
Here's my sneaky pete of a daughter giving me a great huge wonderful smile as a distraction while she tries to get her little mitts into the guac as I take a picture of it. She thinks I don't notice her going for it but I do! She only pretends to listen to her mama. Gah, she's so adorable this one. Little and I love her so. Salsa fresca, salsa verde cruda and guacamole. Date: August 08, 2009 04:45PM Here was lunch today. I'm into the habit of having a whole
bag (4 ozs.) of Mixed Baby Greens in every Green Smoothie. It gives it a 'strong' taste, which I like. The Tomato and sweet Pepper tone it down a bit....WY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
