Food Temp In Dehydrator?

Date: February 13, 2010 11:51PM I am feeling much more energy eating raw foods. I have heard that you can "warm" raw foods in a food dehydrator, so I am wondering what is the maximum temp you can eat raw foods and still benefit from their nutrients? The reason for warming raw food is as a step to complete change to all raw foods. I miss warmth in the mouth sometimes.
I am at about 90% raw now. Re: Food Temp In Dehydrator?

Date: February 14, 2010 01:36AM I have seen different temperatures given for dehydrating raw foods. The higher end is usually about 115°. The lower end is 95 or 100°. (I don't have any data about the temperature at which enzymes are destroyed, but that seems to be the range that people mention most in recipes.)
There is a restaurant called 105 degrees (with a website at www.105degrees.com) and on their website it says that this is the optimal temperature. That temperature seems like a safe bet. My favorite raw vegan Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
