Safe Weight Loss
Date: February 17, 2010 03:50PM

I want to lose some weight so am about to embark on a pretty strict mostly raw balanced diet (if I have cooked food it will be steamed rice & veg).

I'm a little worried about getting stretch marks and excess skin- can I take precautions against these? i.e. any specific type of nutrition- high protein etc. Is there any exercise that will help- yoga, pilates, weights or any exercise I should avoid- high intensity cardio etc?

Thanks ya'll.

I have never heard of a specific type of nutrition to prevent these. At the same time, I've never heard of anyone undertaking a raw food diet experiencing these either. Angela Stokes for one. [store.rawreform.com]

In the event you encounter stretch marks, use Mederma. It's a scar remedy that works very well, though gradually to remove stretch marks. [www.mederma.com] I chose Mederma because of personal experience and also it's natural ingredients. Onion extract and aloe. Best.

foods rich in silica would be the best start seaweeds are referred to as silica of the sea.

Silica is one of the main nutrients for the skin, also high vitamin c foods for the formation of collagen.
