Time Limit on Editing Posts

I think it should be lifted. Or at least extended. Whatever the current time period is, 5 minutes is too short. If some one makes a typo, or says something in the heat of anger, or just wants to soften a post, the current time limit is not sufficient. Yes, I suppose a tight time limit does create an incentive to choose your words carefully. At the same time, a longer time frame is preferable because it encourages participation. If someone has to fear that they might make a mistake and have it stuck in stone, it will discourage active discussion. Your call. Paul p.s. in my case, it was a typo in my post for Maggie.
