Newly converted raw foodists here
Posted by: Anonymous User ()

On my second day of the diet and already feeling better about myself (though that may just be because I'm excited about this lifestyle change)

I decided to make the change for many reasons: The obvious health benefits for one. The reduction of my carbon footprint for another. And of course there's the convenience factor: I'm a street performer and thus am out of the house for all but two waking hours of the day, giving me very limited access to cookery.

Before this I was a full on eat-whatever-I-can-get-my-hands-on guy. I decided to jump right in rather than ease my way into it as I find that's just how my personality works; the longer I take to 'ease' myself into things the more likely I'll just give up.

Anyways, this is just me saying hello and expounding on the amazingness of this website while asking all you experienced rawfies for any hints and tips you can lay on me. smiling smiley

Cheers

hiyyaa bokali

i am glad that you are here
i hope you find alot of yummy things to eat
and complement your performance

they kind of enhance each other and go hand in hand
i mean.. performing inspires one to put in the most superior fuel
superior fuel enhances one's performance

and so it goes
a very viciously positive feedback cycle

It's the 'crunchy taco' recipe on this site. It wasn't that great (i think because my avocado wasn't ripe enough sad smiley)

Buuuuut besides that things are going swimmingly! Tried a stuffed tomato recipe I found yesterday and THAT was awesome.

This is great: I never was one much for cooking, especially not experimental, but with raw food it's easy! All I need is a food processor and a blender and I'm making all sorts of delicious meals, just throwing things together! I love it!

You probably noticed it does cost more to eat healthy though.

Wow, that's a big change... I'm sure you've heard or experienced some detox reactions already?

Welcome.

Hi Bokalimali

You might like to take a look at my website at www.rawforlife.co.uk

and the accompanying blog at www.debbietookrawforlife.blogspot.com

Lots of hints and tips. I'm three and a half years raw.

The blog articles are full of information I've collected over the years. As I make very clear on the blog, I'm neither doctor nor nutritionist - just a raw fooder! But hopefully the information I supply (all free) will be of interest.

Love and best wishes

Debbie Took

And eating simple with no electricity, no blender, juicers, or food processors except manual. Just good whole food.

2 large portabello mushrooms
-1 avocado
-1/4 of an onion slice
-1-2 tomato slices
1-2 leaves of some kind of lettuce
-1/2 lemon

cut the underside of the mushrooms to make them flat, spreadhalf the avocado on each mushroom, squeeze the lemon over the avocado, stack the rest of the veggies like a regular burger, voila! Portabello avocado rawburger!

(I also threw some cucumber slices and a little bit of garlic in there, because garlic makes EVERYTHING better)

Hi
Just wanted to say awesome, thanks for raising the whole vib of the planet.
Make sure you drink a lot of clean, pure water, for your body may detox and the water will assist like a river washing the shores, in a soft gentle way.
Sweating is great too.

I highly recommend any book by Gabriel Cousens or David Wolfe.
These 2 are the mix masters of raw food, the real clear experts.

Great and best to you.
