Congrats on finding something you like.

This is a tough one for me. I don't want to use stainless b/c it leaches nickel and I don't want to use plastic b/c it may have BPA. I don't know if the non-BPA is that safe, either.

Glass breaks but it doesn't leach and it is heavy. Wish there were a better way.

That glass bottle looks interesting but I couldn't see where it says what the lid is made of. I have klean kanteens, they never taste of anything but water, not metalic at all. I have to replace the young man's, he's dropped it on the floor at school a few too many times and made a couple splits so it leaks. The baby's is still ok though and she tosses it around the house all the time!

We use klean kanteens as well - mine is dented on the top, still ok though. I would opt for the glass bottles if the have a bpa free lid, I suppose.

If I'm going to use a bottle with a plastic lid, bpa free or not, why not just use a bpa free plastic bottle? My kanteen has a stainless lid, no plastic at all. Then again, I have a brita and any water filter I might buy is made of plastic plus the water from the tap comes through miles of pipe and who knows if that all has bpa in it or what else so what's the point in the end? sigh. Distiller? Maybe.

id still drink out of the glass bottle with the plastic lid over a total plastic bottle , i just dont like the taste of water in plastic smiling smiley i will try an find out about the lid tho !

or i suppose you could find your own bottle and find a neoprene sleeve to protect it from one of these sites, [www.alibaba.com].. i would probably use a cork to cap it , or maybe find a bottle with one of those nifty ceramic stoppers smiling smiley (like the old heinekin bottles)
