Cacao Beans instead of Powder?

Date: June 24, 2010 12:58PM A lot of recepies call vor (raw) cacao powder. I dont have it so i was wondering if i just take the nibs & trow them into my vitamix & try to grind them to a powder could that powder be use like the 'real' powder ? Edited 1 time(s). Date: June 24, 2010 08:50PM I caution that you'll probably end up with chocolate because of the friction employed and the high fat content of the nibs(cocoa powder is ground cacao bean with most of the fat, or cocoa butter, removed), but give it a go. Re: Cacao Beans instead of Powder?
