No BO on a raw food diet.
Posted by: RusticBohemian ()

Since going raw my BO has completely disappeared. I've written about why it happened here: [www.raw-food-health.net]

Anyone else not experience this on a raw diet?

You are asking if anyone did NOT experience it?

I have little, if any, odor from sweat and my @#$%& usually doesn't stink.

I have not used deodarant for over a year now. I do notice an odor when I eat onions or garlic. I do have an odor when I exersize a lot as well. I can't stand my smell when I eat cooked foods.

i have been raw for almost 5 yrs and never experienced this. i believe it was because of the seasonings i was using (garlic, onion, salt, cayenne, braggs...etc). Now that i have gone 100% fruitarian, i am interested to see if this phenomenon takes place because i have heard/read it from several sources.

Grace and Peace.

Raw people definitely smell better, but it's not 0 BO, that they would all never need antiperspirant/deodorant.

My husband's diet is not near as clean as mine and he has experienced this. I still have an odor but I think it has become more of a pleasant smell.

I don't use deodorant on a daily basis any more and rarely have BO. But - occasionally I do, and am trying to pin down the cause. Could be onions (which Natural Hygiene would deem as toxic).

However, I have noticed quite strong BO in some raw foodists (and 100% raw too), so I think we need to be careful not to be too over-confident...

I think onion smell/taste is excreted in other ways than armpits......which is why I don't eat them!

This is kinda gross coming from a girl, but on my meat-heavy cooked diet I used to have sweaty feet so my shoes would always end up stinking. I once returned a pair of boots to Kenneth Cole because I couldn't stand the pungent leather smell and swore off boots for years. This winter I bought 2 pairs and hey no smell! So all along it had been my feet and not the boots.

And yeah I've definitely noticed that I no longer get BO, phew what a relief to be a non-stinky girl. I used to be attracted to really heavy perfumes, too, but notice I gravitate towards lighter, fruitier ones now. But on the flip-side, now everyone else stinks.

I don't have BO anymore either, and rarely sweat anymore, etc during vigorous exercise (even then it's much less than pre-raw). I notice bad breath after spices, onions and garlic but it doesn't come through my sweat!

Everyone seems to be talking about armpits. Most people are probably hesitant to discuss this, but, especially for women, do you notice that vaginal odor has disappeared? I'm still only about 50% raw, still in the transition period, but I have always had problems with yeast infections and really hope the BO relief includes this area as well.

My percentage raw fluctuates, and the higher percentage raw, the less I stink in general.

That's exactly what I was referring to in my post. I have no odor down there, haven't since being vegan, though I don't think I ever did. I do notice that onions and garlic appear down there. Don't eat them if you want to smell and taste sweet (to yourself and/or others).
