Happy New Year Guys!!How are you doing?
I had some stressful situations and my digestion went down.
So,since December I am having liquid food: smoothies, juices, sauces, soups.I am feeling very good.
I would like to ask if anyone live like this, just with liquid food because I am thinking seriously in start living like this.

I could be wrong, but I think wheatgrass yogi was considering doing something like this at one point in time...

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

Yes, you're right. I feel two Green Smoothies a
day will sustain us most efficiently. Make them small, with lots
of Greens, with minimum Fruit. The greens I've been liking now
are Kale and Collards...the fruit...Fig, Apricots, and Strawberries.
I'm still toying with eliminating all Solids, and Juice, and going
strictly Blended Food......WY

My son suggested we go all smoothies all the time the other day. He's 9. Can't get over that kid sometimes, he's so super awesome. We could never convince my daughter though. She's 3 and has got such a mind of her own, oh my. She'd be happy with all fruit and cashews though, ha ha!

I made a collard, avo, dill soup today that was amazing.
Also made a yam and tahine sauce very good. Also a celery, apple, carrots juice and a little berries smoothies now.I am doing very well like this. In my opinion this is the best way to eat.

Your son must take after you. And your daughter takes
after her father. Am I right? Or do you love Cashews too?

I'm currently doing a 30 day fast on nothing but liquids, though I'm not including smoothies or soups (just juices, sweet and savoury). I feel like I could do this forever if variation weren't a problem, but for me I'd need the variety of textures as well as flavours.

Also, there's been some limited evidence that the exercise of chewing is intrinsic to teeth health, something which feels very intuitive to me as bone health and exercise are linked, and teeth and bones are very much a connected system.

I think going for periods without solid food is fine, even healing and beneficial, but not sure about permanently.

I was considering getting these for the kids and I. Seems a good idea for dental health considering how long we live these days and how much soft food we eat.

WY -

I assume you have done extensive research on this type of eating. If one were to do this for the rest of their life, do you feel it would be...safe?

If the digestive system would shut down long term, would there be any adverse effects?

I realize there will still be a minimal amount of solid food going through the system, as you are still consuming pulp in blended or juiced form.

I don't know - haven't done enough research...so that is why I am asking.

I kind of love this idea. It seems so simple for the body...at least for awhile while healing. There is a cleanse program in Martha's Vineyard that uses this method for 21 days. They highly suggest colonics during this period.
