Nettle leaf is good as it helps get rid of excess uric acid.

I have heard black cherry concentrate so perhaps just fresh cherries would be even better. Is this for you? I would interested to know because even if you're not high-raw, I'd still think it would be very difficult to get gout from a vegetarian diet...

Burdock root in a tincture works really well.

i would definitely stop eating/drinking the foods that are causing it in the first place .. a cleaner more abundant fresh food diet would probably ease it off smiling smiley

I had it in my right toe for 7 awful weeks in the spring of 09.
I fully believe it was meats, beer, and certain grains that kicked it off.
So,I took all of those things out of my diet, drank alot of fresh veggie juices, water, and ate alot of cherries, and had a big salad every day.
That knocked it right out.
And it was when I learned the most about the value of fresh raw foods.

If I were to get it again,I would probably do a fresh juice fast for at least several days.I think that would speed recovery even more.

The reason cherries are recommended as they contain malic acid which removes uric acid.

In which case you could also try a magnesium malate supplement or malic acid. Whilst also eating foods rich in malic acid such as cherries, apples etc.

The nettle leaf powder is also good like i say.

Yes it's true that malic acid does help with uric acid build up. I remember how when I first started taking apple cider vinegar I felt so much better. Later I learned that besides the malic acid the potassium in the vinegar also helped with the joints and muscle flexibility.
"
So buy some Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar (it has to have "The Mother" in it) and take 2 tablespoons a day. Make as a salad dressing, or just mix it into some apple juice or applesauce.
