Lucky me

Date: March 24, 2011 02:07AM My family thinks that dates taste disgusting, horrible. So, I get to eat each and every one of them. I prefer fresh fruit, but I am still in the winter mode, and dates are a perfect candy.
You know what is hard? I always think that I am nothing special, that now when everyone has internet, people will discover the true food, and switch, just like I did. Ain't gonna happen. I will always be just a weirdo, belonging to a raw food cult, always trying to hide my diet from "normal" people to avoid the special treatment and useless conversations. Were there any famous people who were raw vegans? If there were, I am sure they kept their mouth shut. Re: Lucky me

[www.raw-living-food-success.com] I'm with Jimtoo... flaunt it... people will never learn from you if all you do is hide from them... and if they don't get to ask any questions they might just think you are weird but when you are given the chance to explain what and why you do it and how great you feel because of it they will never get a chance to try it out. love laugh and dream Re: Lucky me

Date: March 24, 2011 04:04PM I agree wih the other posters. I have found with just being a vedge that people ask questions usually because they are threatened that you are not just going along with the sheep. Any time a person stands out, they automatically challenge the status quo, even if they don't open their mouths. I worked in a school and rode my bike to school most days. That simply wasn't done by other staff. So of course I stuck out. Not being married, not having kids...Just living life on your own terms can get you into hot water! But it's so worth it because you are a walking teachable moment, LOL Re: Lucky me

Just do your thing, and without arrogance, and people will appreciate you for it. Or at least respect you, and that's a useful currency to carry through life. Re: Lucky me

when people see me eat fruits n veggies they seem to be completely unsurprised like its the most natural thing in the world and whenever i order a salad at a restaurant 9 out of 10 times, the other person does the same of course, they might add salmon or chicken to their salad but mostly they just order salad at first i thought they were just being a copy cat and now i realize that they WERE being a copy cat hello kitty Re: Lucky me
