Ex-raw ex-vegan was lost and has been found

Date: March 31, 2011 08:00PM Well, this is my attempt at an allusion to the parable of the prodigal son.
I don't know if you heard this, but ex-raw ex-vegan Paul Nison, who was at one time a raw vegan for 15 years, has returned to the fold. Paul decided that his health issues had nothing to do with eating only raw foods or eating only plant foods, and has changed his diet to a raw vegan diet. Welcome back Paul. Date: March 31, 2011 08:25PM I don't know. But he concluded that his health issues were cleared up by not eating late at night and sticking to his Daylight diet. He felt that before he was overeating on raw foods. Re: Ex-raw ex-vegan was lost and has been found

Date: April 03, 2011 06:46PM lol you guys!
I think eating late is pretty bad for digestion, the body goes into elimination mode later in the day. Children are naturally hungry every few hours though, if our last meal of the day was at 12 or 2 I'd hear a chorus of "I'm hungry" for the rest of the afternoon! Dinner at 5 or 6 followed by a piece of fruit if they ask for a snack before bed. It's a terrible feeling going to bed with hunger pangs. Re: Ex-raw ex-vegan was lost and has been found

Date: April 04, 2011 10:35PM Paul thought the raw vegan diet was the source of his failing health. After quitting the raw vegan diet, he came to realize that other things besides the food choices were the culprit, not the rawness or the veganess of the foods he was eating.
I think for some newbies, this made them wonder if the raw diet would work for them, as it is becoming apparent that a lot of the proponents of raw foods (Paul, Victoria, David, etc) are not raw or vegan themselves any longer. So no crime, even a tiny, was committed. That would have been more interesting, though. Re: Ex-raw ex-vegan was lost and has been found

where did paul state these things that you mention? personal communication? blog? ? also, hunger pains are an indication of a pathological state of the body due usually to improper diet. so subsequent conjecture about what works or doesn't work is of little value. Date: April 05, 2011 02:24PM Hunger pangs in a health person might be because they are actually hungry.
Notice how I didn't say "hunger pangs ARE because...", notice how I left space for other people's ideas and beliefs by not stating what I think as though it is a FACT and not just personal opinion? Neat how that works, eh? Re: Ex-raw ex-vegan was lost and has been found

Date: April 05, 2011 02:37PM the below applies to hunger pangs, pains, etc.
------------------------ "Appetite" Is Not Hunger Many people have never emptied the stomach completely. Most people have never experienced true hunger, which is a mouth and throat sensation, and not a feeling of emptiness and weakness. People eat—either from habit or because they feel better, or stronger, and—frequently—because the food relieves distress or pain. The food has a stimulating effect, and forces the body to get busy dealing with the newly-swallowed food supplies. It must, perforce, temporarily discontinue its efforts to clean out the debris left by previous meals—which efforts have been the source of the discomfort. Waste material from the new food adds to the organism's need to clean out the debris (which can be accomplished only by not eating—by fasting). Dr. Claunch says (The Hygienic System, Volume II, p. 291), "The difference between true hunger and false craving may be determined as follows: when hungry and, comfortable, it is true hunger. When hungry and uncomfortable, it is false craving. When a sick person misses a customary meal, he gets weak before he gets hungry. When a healthy person misses a customary meal, he gets hungry before he gets weak." Re: Ex-raw ex-vegan was lost and has been found

Date: April 06, 2011 01:04AM I don't think MSM is a food period. I just don't follow DW and his diet so I have no idea what he eats, what supplements he takes, etc. Actually, Matt Monarch promotes various supplemental items like that white ormus or whatever it's called and he also calls himself 100% raw. I am not sure but he may even mention MSM. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
