Date: January 24, 2009 02:58PM got it for xmas, tried it out with carrots, cauliflower, onion, garlic, ginger and bay leaf, it was excellent! i can't believe how totally simple it is to use too, just stick in the veg and the brine and leave it be for 4 days. wow.

You've saved my bacon! So to speak I have been grudgingly considering making some more kimchee after my last batch turned out inedible, and I'd love to make naturally pickled cucumbers and cabbage without worrying that something in my kitchen will bespoil the crock.
