Date: August 10, 2011 07:39PM Hey Guys,I have a question about wheatgrass.
I am doing wheatgrass for a while and the trays were great, but we had some humid days here (i'm doing everything outside) and I have 2 trays of wheatgrass with mold on the roots. They look so beautiful and I am so tempted to juice them, but my husband doesn't want to drink them because of the mold. Have you had any problem like that? Edited 1 time(s). Date: August 10, 2011 08:33PM Wheatgrass is pretty prone to mold if they are grown in humid conditions.
I wouldn't risk it personally, ive known people to wash them and cut abit higher up the shoot but personally i wouldn't risk it. Isn't worth getting ill over. [www.vegankingdom.co.uk] Re: Question about wheatgrass

Date: August 10, 2011 09:58PM When I find this problem, I cut the wheatgrasss well above the moldy area, and then soak the grass in a food-grade hydrogen peroxide and water solution as a precaution. No problems ever with this method, but it really is better for it to not develop mold to begin with! Re: Question about wheatgrass

Ozonator is a handy device to have, plus ozone water is such as versatile and powerful health tool. [www.vegankingdom.co.uk] Re: Question about wheatgrass

I found this youtube video, and I'm doing that way. Let see. Thank you so much,I'll do the hydrogen peroxide if the mold comes again. Thanks again. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
