can you freeze "raw" marinara sauce?

hi,
i have an abundant supply of garden fresh tomatoes and was wondering if you can freeze raw marinara sauce...or does that ruin it? what other ways can you preserve fresh tomatoes besides drying them?

freezing would be preferable say over canning .. smiling smiley sauces are easy to freeze as they come back out saucy hehe

i once froze some whole tomatoes so they wouldnt go bad but they were not that great raw after that

a salsa or a sauce would fare better i presume smiling smiley
