Good video, Harley. I know it's up on YouTube, but that is a labyrinth of conflicting voices, and there are people who might not see this. I do hope that athletes, especially budding ones in high school and college, wander over and somehow see it; it would prove very useful to them. Thanks for posting smiling smiley

No one has ever accused DurianRider of having Brevity. So I must assume you haven't either. I like Short and Pithy best......WY

You assume correctly.

durian,

Yes, but I think the video is especially useful for its "athlete's perspective." Young people that are athletes-in-training get misinformed early on: All this carbo-loading with pasta before some heavy activity, and then, in the middle of it, bananas! Why not just go with bananas from the start? There's that baskeballer that eats mostly candy! It would be good for people like that to hear about alternatives from successful athletes.

And I think the video is as long as it needs to be to get the point across grinning smiley

There are a lot of people out there whose time is precious to them. I wanted to watch the whole vid, but once we were a few minutes in and he was still on the same old "this is how I became raw" story, I decided that it was time to go back to having a life. When I make a vid I try to keep it in the 5 minute range. I do that by preparing concise yet in-depth info and then getting straight to the point. My preference is to communicate with raw foodists who like their info the same way they like their food; simple, pure, and highly nutritious. No ego necessary.

The basketball player you reference is Lamar Odom. When the Lakers won the NBA championship, he said that he performed well because he ate candy for breakfast on game days. I'm sure that there are plenty of successful athletes and trainers around him who can and do inform him of the benefits of raw produce. Like so many, it will probably only sink in once he's faced with serious health issues. How do you tell a person who is a dominant athlete amongst some of the best athletes in the world that he's doing it wrong? A star player like Odom runs around 10 miles per game with all kinds of jumping and dribbling and shooting and jostling mixed in. His athletic prowess is in another dimension.

Yes HeavenHands . . . but for how long? Wasn't he dating a Kardashian? If so, the first ill effects of candy-on-the-brain have presented themselves already smiling smiley

It was really interesting. I wish I had phone conversation with Doug Graham. I did meet him and he held me, he was very friendly.

I just watched my first video of Durianrider and found the 14 minutes inspiring except for the use of the F word.

I did find the premise that the fruit and high fat of nuts and seeds and avo to be right on from my perspective.

I will watch a few more videos just to see why you DR seem controversial to some. See..that's what controversy can get you! But only for awhile, then you have to actually have something to real to offer.

Love,
Prism

Nothing like blowing your own trumpet to create more viewership. winking smiley
