Date: May 31, 2012 11:07PM First year in Chi-town. I see that the actual parade kicks off at noon so I may be able to make it.[chicago.veggiepride.com] Re: Veggie Pride Parade in Chicago this Saturday!

Date: May 31, 2012 11:40PM Hmmmm, this could confuse some people. There will be amendments drafted over it, LOL! Report back to us, if you go, please Re: Veggie Pride Parade in Chicago this Saturday!

Date: June 01, 2012 12:27AM Tam, LOL! Gay Pride is also in June (last week, I think?). I've never been because it's too massive and I learned my lesson at the St. Patty's Day one: if you can't get anywhere near the parade route then how can you watch the PARADE?!
There are some interesting get-ups at that parade and if someone gets confused...the hilarity will likely ensue... Re: Veggie Pride Parade in Chicago this Saturday!

Date: June 01, 2012 04:19PM Update: if you want to march in the parade, you must pre-register @ 11 am. I am not sure I'll be there by then. Kickoff at high noon...Marching thru Grant Park. Maybe some of the Occupy peeps will join us! Re: Veggie Pride Parade in Chicago this Saturday!

Date: June 01, 2012 04:25PM I lived in Boystown for a while where the Pride parade was held. I think I heard that they moved it but I'm not sure. That really was an impressive display. I'll never forget seeing Mayor Daley ride on one of the floats.

Date: June 02, 2012 11:13PM I didn't make it. I had to do something early in the morning and just didn't feel like going downtown afterwards. If anyone in the area ended up going, I would be interested in hearing what happened. I read that the Chicagoland raw community would be representin.' I just wish there had been vendors at the event...(Maybe there were?) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
