Date: November 05, 2012 01:58PM If I can find them at local health food stores, I buy organic hemp seeds, but the quality varies. I love organic raw hemp seed butter; it makes a fabulous cheese-free raw pesto for zucchini noodles. It is, however, prohibitively expensive, as is the oil Making your own would require really, really fresh hemp seeds, but hemp is very high in Omega 3s, so it's worth considering. Re: Hemp Seed

Date: November 08, 2012 01:02AM la_veronique,
I buy the hemp seeds in a 5 pound vacuum packed canister from Manitoba Harvest, and after I open them I put them in the refrigerator. Getting them out of a bulk bin sounds a bit suspect. Re: Hemp Seed

Date: November 11, 2012 03:10AM Yes the bulk bins can be horrendously bad because they don't sell really well and sit for to long. Get them in sealed containers. It will be nice when the freakin government will let us grow them in this country legally and consume them as we please. If you live in Nebraska you can go out and pick them in the wild laughs, yes they grow wild in Nebraska and some other places in the us. The seeds don't need to be sprouted they are perfect the way they are! that is there nature. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
