RANCIDITY - ARE SOME RAW POWDERS RANCID?????? PLEASE HELP

Date: February 05, 2013 07:27PM I need help and opinion of other people. PLEASE.
I recently bought some powders: namely ACAI from two reputable sources and Berry powder from another wellknown company. Only one source immediately refund my credit card, two other sources are arguing with me that their powders are 100% organic with all testing and because I opened the bags I can not send them back for refund AND THEY CAN NOT BE RANCID. I (and my partner) are very concern that these powders are rancid. The smell is disgusting, the taste is weird...I sent one ACAI powder (THE LESS STINKY AND RANCID) to the independent laboratory (not a cheap deal for a private person) and was told that peroxide value is too high (the powder will expire sometimes in 2014). WE ARE VERY CONCERN THAT WHAT IS OFFERED IS OFTEN A POOR QUALITY AND HARMFUL TO OUR HEALTH. Any suggestion, any experience, please let me know. Thank you. Ask them if they guarantee their products, and if they do,get your money back. If not, at least you learned a lesson. Re: RANCIDITY - ARE SOME RAW POWDERS RANCID?????? PLEASE HELP

This can be a problem, especially with powders that you haven't tasted before. I recently purchased Pure Essence Lifeessence Powder which has a tart/tangy taste that one might consider an "off" taste. How is one to know what is "good" & what is rancid or not? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
