The vitamin C in oranges may help with absorption of iron in the spinach.

Eat them together and see how it makes you feel, that's the best way to find out what works for your digestion.

The worldclass Hippocrates Health Institute says that the acids in the oranges will ferment the carbohydrates in the greens. l once put an apple in a green smoothie, and indeed the acids in the apple did ferment the smoothie and l had poor digestion and bloating afterwards, so yes, this is a serious issue.

Lots of people say that putting fruit in smoothies doesn't bother them, but maybe they are used to abusing their system and are used to it...kinda like how meat eaters mix potatoes and cheese with their steak and wash it down with coke.

The thing is though...greens take roughly 2 hours to digest and oranges take up to one hour. Obviously fermentation is going to occur and the true power of the meal is going to be lessened along with toxins caused by fermentation.

When you combine meals well, it is fine. But when you start incombining meals all havoc breaks loose if you are not used to poor food combinations.

If you are going to the effort to do raw and live healthy then why would people want to sabotage it with mixing all types of incompatable combinations. Humans always want to eat all types of foods at the one meal (l don't really understand that), yet animals don't tend to do that in nature. We are so out of touch with nature.

Everybody is different so judging how people eat and why is a fruitless exercise. Just do what's right for you and be happy smiling smiley.
