Sprouting with nut mylk bag versus jar

Date: November 18, 2013 06:06PM Hey, folks--I sprouted buckwheat in a mesh bag and now clover and it seems to me that it is a slower process. I am wondering if the bag allows air to circulate too much and it dries out the sprouts and they need a bit of moisture to grow? Because it doesn't seem to be the ideal way to do this. It would be slower because the heat is not collecting in the jar to act like a greenhouse. >I am wondering if the bag allows air to > circulate too much and it dries out the sprouts > and they need a bit of moisture to grow? It might well do. Try either soaking more often, or to place the bag in a greenhouse tent that protects the sprouts from drying out and maintains stable growing conditions and accelerates the growing process. You can also soak in water with a tea spoon of added sea salt for added benefits according to Kulvinskas. Haven't done that yet, but l will. I personally think a jar would be good enough for growing buckwheat groat sprouts. Re: Sprouting with nut mylk bag versus jar

Date: November 20, 2013 04:50PM Well, I had success using the bag for buckwheat sprouts but not the clover. Some have sprouted but I dumped them into a jar to see if that helps matters.
Do you think that it could be the age of the clover seeds? I am not sure the actual age of them but they could be as old as 5-7 years! Re: Sprouting with nut mylk bag versus jar

Some legumes will last 10 years, while high fat seeds might last less than a year. Various grains also don't last too long. I reckon those hard seeds in the mung plant could last thousands of years. www.thesproutarian.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
