Calories – only a partial truth relative to one’s situation

So many raw fooders emphasise calories and eating large amounts of food in order to be successful on a raw diet. These folks say that under eating on calories means one will eventually bomb out on the diet, and many of the folks who do say these things struggle with weight and do eventually bomb out on the raw vegan diet despite them consuming lots of calories and carbs. So what is going on? Are these folks really getting to the truth of the matter, or is this just another fancy theory without proper foundation? Lets ask our selves the following questions regarding calories.

Why do respected institutions like Hippocrates say the calorie theory is a myth? Why have scientists who studied the long lived Hunza report they lived on average on 1,300 calories per day, yet they work hard in the fields and are vibrant. Why does Tonya Zavasta reportedly live on 1,500 calories per day and maintain weight without bombing out? Why did Ann Wigmore live on a low calorie diet and thrive? Why do l live on 1,300 – 1,500 calories per day, stay high energy and find it easy to develop muscle? Why does my sproutarian friend live on under 1,000 calories per day and ride a bike 50 km on some days at 65 years of age and hardly sleep? Why do other people l put on low calorie sprout diets find it easy to maintain weight and muscle? Why are the people growing their own food doing better than most? Are these people sneaking in pizza behind closed doors?...l don’t think so…something else is going on. These folks aren’t special, they are just ordinary people, but they have proven to themselves that calories aren’t an ultimate truth.

Why is there no evidence of cells and atoms needing to eat food to sustain themselves? What is the real purpose of minerals and other nutrients? What is the true purpose of people needing to consume calories relative to their situation? I know what the cosmic intelligence is telling me, but l would like to hear your thoughts so we can talk about this very interesting topic.

Be warned, some high level talk will be forthcoming in this thread, and it may blow many people out because it will go completely against many of the preconceived illusions we have been brought up to believe. One thing we hopefully can agree on is that the calorie theory is highly flawed.
